Spring on the Farm

Flowers and Murals and Trailers, Oh My!

Each season we're adding more and more to the farm and this spring is no exception.

We've upped our flower game and currently have over 10,000 flowers planted and getting ready to bloom. We've expanded our beds with 14 new 100' long beds complete with drip irrigation and Bio360, biodegradable cover made from corn starch to suppress weeds and hold in the moisture. Between markets, local florists, individual orders, workshops, and our flower club, we really appreciate your support!

Slow Flower Movement

Check out this bouquet put together by Martha Whitney Butler of the French Portager! Special for Mother's Day, Martha created three arrangements, one to honor her mom, one for her daughter, and one for her favorite female flower farmer. We're holding back the tears and love the nod to supporting locally grown "slow flowers."

Our Chicken Mural

We love our latest art installation - a chicken mural! Jared, an autistic young adult whose talent for sculpture and art is matched only by his enthusiasm for Mardi Gras and his New Orleans culture and community, came out with local photographer and designer, Ann Madden and teacher, Taylor Cheek. Jared painted the chicken on our barn and then Coast Episcopal's preschool class finished it off with the addition of some bright flowers.

"I like it because I've been helping and I've grown up as an artist." - Jared on being an artist

Come out to one of our events or on Thursday afternoons from 3-5pm to check it out!

On the Go!

Straight out of Pinterest dream boards, we've repurposed a horse trailer that Teri found into the cutest flower trailer ever! We haven't officially named her yet, though we're partial to Daisy. She'll be hitting the road with us at markets, pop-ups, and other events along the Coast. And, yes! She will also be available for rent for private events! If you're interested, check out our private events page for an inquiry form.

Where to Find Us

If you want to pick up some locally made goodies, there are some incredible markets along the Coast.

If you're looking for us (or our flower trailer) specifically, please call first to make sure we're attending as events, farm activities and life can sometimes bring us in other directions. Either way, these are great markets to be aware of!
