La Terre Farms Aflower - Featured in the BSL Shoofly

We love the Shoofly as this local online publication shares so much goodness for the Bay, Waveland, Kiln, and Diamondhead. Then Kim Ranjbar, writer for the Shoofly and her own New Orleans food-focused blog, Suck The Heads, called asking to write about La Terre.

We're honored to be featured and if you want to learn a little more about us, please check out the Partner Spotlight for April 2024 for the full article.

Story by Kim Ranjbar:

The Wyly family business is blossoming, from selling wreaths and garlands at farmers' markets, to a sustainable, agritourism destination growing a bounty of blooms.

While they were both attorneys living in New Orleans, Teri Wyly’s husband, Bubba, began squirreling away plots of undeveloped land in Mississippi. Bubba, who grew up on a farm in north Louisiana, would make the 45-minute trip to the Bay every weekend, sometimes towing their children along, giving them jobs like picking up sticks as he cleared trails on his tractor.
