About the event
Local artist Meghan Lyman will be on site painting in plein air and demonstrating her technique with the use of acrylic. The artist will be painting directly from nature to capture authentic light and atmosphere in a challenging, fast-paced creative process. Come watch creativity bloom!
Participants should bring their own art supplies and wear walking shoes.
Meghan Lyman holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Southern Mississippi. She serves as Museum Manager and Curatorial Assistant at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. Meghan has been painting and drawing since childhood, encouraged early on by her family to pursue creative expression. Her work has been exhibited over the years, and in recent years she has found renewed inspiration creating alongside her own children, encouraging them to explore art while continuing to nurture her own practice.
