Local artist Mary Louise Porter will be on site painting in plein air and demonstrating her technique with the use of acrylic. The artist will be painting directly from nature to capture authentic light and atmosphere in a challenging, fast-paced creative process. Come watch creativity bloom!
Participants should bring their own art supplies and wear walking shoes.
Mary Louise Porter is a contemporary landscape painter from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, working in acrylic, pastel, and mixed media. She loves painting outdoors, where the immediacy of light, color, and atmosphere inspires expressive abstraction and movement. Influenced by nature’s rhythms — clouds, sunsets, reflections, and bold contrasts — her work explores the emotional energy of the landscape.
